The Biodiversity Information Service for Powys and the Brecon Beacons National Park
We are a not-for-profit organisation supporting wildlife recording in Powys and the Brecon Beacons National Park; and one of four Local Environmental Records Centres in Wales. We maintain a database of over 3,000,000 local species observations collated from a wide variety of sources, and support and encourage recorders to help expand it. The data we hold is used in scientific research, aids conservation efforts, and informs government and planning decisions. Anyone can contribute sightings to us, and together we can build an accurate and up-to-date picture of the ecology of mid-Wales.
